Welcome to the 75 hours Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at SHA-LA Studios!
This comprehensive program is designed to deepen your understanding of Power Vinyasa Yoga, enhance your teaching skills, and empower you to guide others on their yoga journey.

What you will learn

The training is divided into four axes, each focusing on essential aspects of becoming a proficient and knowledgeable yoga teacher.

Yoga alignment and assisting

Axis 1: Yoga Alignment and Assisting

In this axis, you will delve into the fundamental principles of yoga alignment and learn how to offer effective and safe assists to your students. You will explore the following topics:


  • Understanding the anatomical alignment in various asanas (poses)
  • Correcting common misalignments and modifications
  • Hands-on adjustments and assists for students
  • Developing a keen eye for alignment and postural cues
  • Practicing safe and supportive touch in assisting
  • Enhancing your communication skills as a teacher
  • Energetic Alignment based on the Universal Principles of Alignment (Anusara Style)

Axis 2: Teaching Methods

This axis focuses on developing your teaching skills, including effective sequencing, cueing, and creating a cohesive class experience. You will cover the following areas:


  • Building intelligently sequenced Power Vinyasa classes
  • Incorporating different themes and intentions into your classes
  • Crafting well-rounded classes that balance strength, flexibility, and mindfulness
  • Refining your verbal cues and instructions for clear communication
  • Utilizing demonstration and visualization techniques to enhance learning
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment for students of all levels

Axis 3: Pranayama

In this axis, you will explore the art of breath control and pranayama techniques. Pranayama is an integral part of the yoga practice, and you will learn to incorporate it into your classes. The curriculum includes:


  • Understanding the importance of breath in yoga practice
  • Exploring various pranayama techniques and their benefits
  • Practicing breath control and regulation
  • Incorporating pranayama techniques into asana practice and meditation
  • Guiding students through pranayama exercises safely and effectively

Axis 4: Philosophy

The philosophy axis delves into the rich philosophical foundations of yoga and its application in modern life. You will study:


  • Exploring the history and evolution of yoga philosophy
  • Studying classical yoga texts such as Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita
  • Understanding the eight limbs of yoga and their significance
  • Integrating yogic philosophy into your teaching and personal practice
  • Reflecting on the ethical principles and values of a yoga teacher

Duration: 75 hours (distributed over a few weeks)

Upon completion of the 75 hours Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, you will receive a certification that recognizes your commitment and dedication to becoming a skilled yoga teacher.
