25-Hour Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Training (YACEP)


Backbending is a powerful and transformative practice that requires more than flexibility. It calls for deep awareness, strength, openness, and technique.
In this training, you'll explore the physical, energetic, and different dimensions of backbends. This immersion offers a detailed breakdown of foundational to advanced asana backbends, functional mobility work, sequencing strategies, and knowledge in anatomy and biomechanics.

You’ll walk away with greater confidence in your own practice and the ability to guide others safely and effectively. Participants will receive a 25-hour YACEP certificate upon completion of this in-person training and the self-study component.

What You’ll learn:

  • Functional anatomy of the spine, hips, and shoulders

  • Key principles for safe and sustainable back bending

  • Mobility and strength drills for spinal extension

  • Pose breakdowns: foundational to advanced backbends
